Hi friends! I’m Marita, a 26-year-old based out of Hoboken, NJ, and I launched Art By Rita in September of 2025. My passion for art started at a young age but I truly dove into it in college. I gifted friends paintings for birthdays and other celebrations which later turned into selling my pieces to others. My work is a fusion of mediums—texture paste, squeegee art, oils, and acrylics—united by an abstract, expressive style. Many of the pieces I’ve done fall into the abstract realm, but I paint whatever sparks my interest and love to experiment and test new ideas!
